JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ferrovial has an exciting, entry-level payroll tax analyst position for a recent
- graduate or early career professional. A Payroll Tax Analyst manages payroll tax
- compliance, ensures accurate reporting, and provides expertise on federal,
- state, and local tax regulations.
- This is an onsite, hybrid position in the Woodlands, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Reporting and Payments: Review and reconcile payroll tax payments and
filings, including W-2s, W-2c’s, and quarterly/annual returns).
- Data Analysis: Analyze payroll tax data, perform calculations, and provide
insights to management for decision-making
- Process Documentation: Design, document, and review payroll tax procedures to
maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation
- Problem Resolution: Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, notices,
or compliance issues for multi-state entities
- Collaboration: Work closely with payroll, HR, and accounting teams to ensure
accurate employee data and tax reporting
- Special Projects: Assist Payroll Tax Manager with strategic initiatives,
audits, and process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
- Years of Experience: 0-2
Essential Skills
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities to calculate
taxes, deductions, and benefits accurately
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing payroll data and ensuring
compliance with tax laws
- Communication: Ability to explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders
and collaborate across departments
- Problem-Solving: Capable of resolving discrepancies and handling audits
effectively
- Technical Skills: MS applications, excel, word
- AI: AI Software tools - Microsoft Copilot preferred, not required
