
Personal Tax Assistant Manager

with the recruitment of a Personal Tax Assistant Manager.

As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you'll take
responsibility for overseeing a varied portfolio of private clients, ensuring
the delivery of high-quality compliance services whilst assisting with advisory
work. You'll work closely with senior members of the tax team and play an
active role in developing junior colleagues.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage
a portfolio of personal tax clients, including individuals, trusts and
partnerships, ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
- Review
personal tax returns prepared by junior members of the team, providing
guidance and technical support where required.
- Prepare
and oversee more complex personal tax returns and computations.
- Build
and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
for tax-related queries.
- Correspond
with HMRC on behalf of clients and assist with resolving enquiries and
technical matters.
- Identify
tax planning opportunities and support the delivery of advisory projects.
- Coach,
mentor and assist with the development of trainees and junior tax
professionals.
- Collaborate
with partners, managers and other professional advisers to provide a
joined-up service to clients.
Requirements
- ATT,
ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualification (or be studying towards one).
- Previous
experience within a personal tax team, ideally with some experience
supervising or reviewing the work of others.
- Strong
technical knowledge of UK personal tax.
- Excellent
organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong
communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client
relationships.
- A
proactive, team-oriented approach with a genuine interest in supporting
junior staff.
