The Opportunity
- We’re looking for Graduates in our PwC Tax team, in Pōneke/Wellington who will
- start with us in February 2027.
- Our Tax team is made up of tax specialists who possess deep technical knowledge
- and a practical focus. We focus on providing specialised and agile tax solutions
- and are dedicated to solving complex business problems for our clients, enabling
- them to proactively and confidently meet their tax obligations and ensure
- compliance. Embracing technology, we constantly seek innovative ways to deliver
- an enhanced service to our clients and revolutionise the approach to tax.
- As a member of our Tax team, your role will cover a wide range of
- responsibilities. You may find yourself advising clients on intricate tax rules,
- implications of business decisions or tax planning one day, and consulting with
- the government on tax policy the next. You could be involved in implementing
- technology-enabled tax reporting solutions or assisting multinational companies
- to navigate offshore tax regulations. Additionally, you will have the
- opportunity to explore specialised areas of tax, such as GST or transfer
- pricing. The work you do with us will be rewarding, important, and actively
- contribute to helping businesses effectively manage their taxes and ensure
- compliance.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business, majoring in Accounting, Finance, Economics,
Taxation, Information Systems or Computer Science, Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or
Bachelor of Laws conjoint, Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Economics, Bachelor
of Engineering.
- Be in your final year of study or have recently graduated.
- Strong academic performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage
clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Independent thinking and the confidence to take ownership of your work.
- A curious, motivated attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing
priorities.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Comfort working with technology and emerging AI enabled ways of working.
