This remote GTA-based opportunity offers a dynamic mix of client consulting, presentations, advisor education, and strategic planning in a collaborative professional environment.
**What is in it for you:**
- Salaried: $80-90 per hour.
- Incorporated Business Rate: $90-100 per hour.
- 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
- Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
- Day schedule, 37.50 hours per week.
- Remote work arrangement for candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Daily travel to client offices is required as part of the role.
**Responsibilities:**
- Deliver advanced tax and estate planning advice to end clients through financial advisors.
- Provide education to financial advisors and internal audiences as a subject matter expert on new and existing tax-efficient products and services.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the various distribution channels by establishing and enhancing relationships.
- Promote and deliver tax and estate planning advice to the sales team and key distribution partners.
- Deliver and promote sales tools that support insurance products, proprietary financial planning concepts, specialty needs analyses, and legal and compliance considerations.
- Work with high-net-worth clients and their professional advisors, including accountants and lawyers, to identify tax-planning opportunities related to estate planning, wealth management, business succession, and business continuation planning.
- Consult in the creation and deployment of consumer and allied advisor reference materials.
- Deliver training workshops and supporting materials for financial advisors.
- Deliver client seminars and supporting materials.
- Support case development activities, including case research and special illustrations.
- Participate in industry profile-building activities.
- Conduct ongoing research to remain current on tax and estate planning issues.
- Partner with the Regional Sales Director to provide case consultation and support advisors by delivering tax-efficient insurance solutions.
**What you will need to succeed:**
- CPA, LL.B., or FCIA designation.
- Completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Program and the In-Depth Tax Issues for the Owner Manager Business course is considered an asset.
- years of professional experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of personal and corporate taxation, including retirement compensation arrangements, charitable giving, wills and trusts, business ownership, and succession planning.
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients and their professional advisors, including accountants and lawyers.
- Excellent understanding of industry trends and their impact on achieving business sales objectives.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Professional in Mandarin and English to deliver tax and estate planning advice, conduct client seminars and training sessions, and support financial advisors and clients in both languages.
