The ideal candidate brings strong international logistics and trade compliance

expertise, along with the ability to apply AI/data analytics tools to improve

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end international shipping operations across ocean, air, and

ground freight, managing multiple carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs across

regions

  • Manage logistics documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing

lists, certificates of origin) to support smooth cross-border movement

  • Track shipments proactively across the supply chain, resolving delays, routing

issues, or carrier exceptions before they impact delivery timelines

  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers, vendors, and regional logistics partners

to align shipping schedules, Incoterms, and documentation requirements

  • Optimize freight costs and transit times by evaluating carrier performance,

routing options, and mode of transport (air vs. ocean vs. ground)

  • Review and audit customs entries filed by brokers for accuracy; resolve

discrepancies with CBP or other customs authorities

  • Track and reconcile tariff classifications against product changes/updates

from engineering or procurement

  • Manage export documentation, licensing determinations (ECCN/EAR, ITAR if

applicable), and screening against denied party lists

  • Ensure compliance with export control regulations (BIS, OFAC, State Department

where relevant)

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders on export declarations (EEI/AES filings)

and required certificates of origin

  • Manage compliance and logistics requirements for Dangerous Goods (specifically

Lithium-Ion Batteries)

  • Use AI-powered tools and data analytics platforms to support HTS

classification accuracy, duty spend analysis, and trade data reconciliation

  • Build or utilize dashboards/models to detect anomalies in customs entries,

shipment delays, or compliance exceptions before they become issues

  • Apply predictive analytics to forecast duty costs, tariff exposure, and

clearance timelines for supply chain planning

  • Use data-driven insights to identify process inefficiencies and recommend

automation opportunities across inbound/outbound workflows

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of proven experience in tracking, tracing, and managing

international freight operations (ocean, air, ground) and working with global

carriers, forwarders, and 3PLs

  • Strong working knowledge of Customs clearance requirements in the USA, HTS

classification, import/export regulations, section 301, and section 232

  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable auditing entries, reconciling data, and

identifying trends

  • Excellent cross-functional communication—this role interfaces with internal

and external stakeholders regularly, working across multiple time zones and

cultures with overseas suppliers/partners

Bonus Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, international business, or a related

engineering/analytical field

  • Hands-on experience applying AI/data analytics tools in a logistics and trade

compliance context
