Chenega Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to join our Finance organization in Anchorage, Alaska. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to lead enterprise-wide indirect tax compliance, provide strategic tax guidance, and influence business decisions across a diverse portfolio of companies.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager, Indirect Tax, you will serve as a key advisor on state and local indirect tax matters while leading compliance and risk management activities across multiple jurisdictions. You will: Interpret and apply complex tax regulations and determine appropriate tax treatment for transactions. Resolve challenging tax issues and develop practical risk mitigation strategies.

Manage responses to tax notices, audits, and regulatory inquiries. Provide expert guidance to finance, accounting, and operational leaders on indirect tax matters. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and translate requirements into actionable business guidance.

Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal control enhancements. Ensure audit readiness through effective documentation and compliance practices. Support mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities by assessing indirect tax implications.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Active CPA license. 5+ years of progressive corporate tax compliance and/or financial reporting experience in public accounting or industry. Ability to successfully pass background and drug screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Public accounting experience. Master's degree in Accounting. State and local indirect tax compliance experience.

Experience supporting complex, multi-entity organizations.
