**Note:** Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field and at least 3 years of public accounting tax experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns.

**Job Description**

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, corporations, trusts, and exempt organizations.
  • Review bookkeeping records, financial statements, general ledgers, and trial balances to ensure tax readiness.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax returns, missing information, notices, and planning opportunities.
  • Research tax issues and apply federal and state tax regulations to client situations.
  • Assist with estimated tax payments, extensions, and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to IRS and state tax notices and support examinations when needed.
  • Collaborate with accounting and bookkeeping teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support tax planning projects and advisory engagements.
  • Maintain organized workpapers and documentation.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 returns.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance.
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and bookkeeping records.
  • Strong organizational and client communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, QuickBooks, and tax software.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent license preferred.
  • Spanish fluency preferred.
