**Location**

On-site in Birmingham, AL or Auburn, AL, offering an engaging team environment and direct support from experienced tax managers and partners.

**Note**

Candidates must have an active CPA or be very close to completion (5+ years of experience if not yet licensed).

**Job Description**

  • Prepare complex federal and state business tax returns, including S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, and non-profits
  • Review tax work prepared by Associates and provide guidance to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Coordinate engagements by managing client communication, documentation, deadlines, and staff workflow
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues in collaboration with senior team members
  • Support special projects and supervise less experienced team members
  • Build strong client relationships and develop into a trusted advisor
  • Contribute to firm growth efforts by helping promote services and expand existing client relationships

**Qualifications**

  • BA/BS in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Experience with tax software and MS Office applications
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively with staff and clients
