**Position Summary**

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex individual, trust, and business tax returns, providing tax planning strategies, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver seamless financial services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and small businesses
  • Conduct year-round tax planning and projections for high-net-worth clients
  • Advise clients and internal teams on tax strategies, compliance matters, and regulatory changes
  • Collaborate with wealth advisors to align tax strategies with financial and estate planning goals
  • Respond to client inquiries and serve as a trusted tax resource
  • Monitor IRS and state notices; assist in responding to tax authority inquiries
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax documentation and client records
  • Contribute to process improvement and implementation of tax technology tools

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation (preferred)
  • CPA or EA designation (required)
  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a public accounting or wealth management environment
  • Expertise in individual tax returns and planning
  • Strong understanding of tax implications for investment income, estates, and trusts
  • Proficiency in CCH Axcess Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
