  • A day in the life
  • This role supports the Corporate Tax Department on U.S. domestic tax matters,
  • including tax compliance, tax provision, technical research, and written tax
  • analysis. The role helps ensure timely federal, state, and local tax filings and
  • supports quarterly tax projections and REIT testing. They will work with
  • internal tax stakeholders and external parties to prepare documentation, respond
  • to notices, and support special projects. This position adds value by improving
  • the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of tax work that supports Prologis
  • operations.

Key responsibilities include

  • Prepare and review third-party information requests related to compliance to

support timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.

  • Prepare and review tax returns in accordance with applicable requirements and

internal review standards.

  • Prepare and review quarterly tax projections to support tax planning and

reporting activities.

  • Prepare and review quarterly REIT tests and related supporting documentation.
  • Research U.S. domestic tax issues and write technical memoranda for internal

and external parties.

  • Respond promptly to federal and state tax notices in coordination with

appropriate stakeholders.

  • Support special tax projects as assigned by the Corporate Tax Department.

Building blocks for success

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in accounting and/or

tax.

  • 4+ years of prior experience in public accounting.
  • Technical tax background in U.S. domestic tax matters.
  • Ability to organize work, manage details, and meet filing and review

timelines.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and CCH

Axcess.

Preferred

  • Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • MST and/or CPA.
  • State and local tax experience.
  • Experience with real estate partnership taxation and/or REITs.
  • Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology,

automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises

sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

Hiring Salary Range of: $104,000 - $143,000. Salary and whole compensation

package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education,

experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and

alignment with market data.
