We're seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our growing tax practice and play a key role in delivering strategic tax guidance and exceptional client service. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys building relationships, solving complex tax challenges, and serving as a valued advisor to middle-market clients. You'll work closely with firm leadership, collaborate across service lines, and make a meaningful impact on both our clients' success and the continued growth of TJT.
What You'll Do
Prepare and review business and individual income tax returns, with a focus on partnerships and high-net-worth individuals. Serve as a trusted resource to clients by providing thoughtful tax planning and compliance guidance. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Conduct federal and state tax research and apply findings to real-world client situations. Collaborate with partners, managers, and team members to identify opportunities to add value for clients. Mentor and support the development of less experienced team members.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has at least three years of public accounting
experience
and a strong foundation in tax compliance, research, and client service. Successful candidates will also possess:
Experience
preparing and reviewing partnership and individual (Form 1040) tax returns. Exposure to closely held businesses and their owners.
Experience
working with family office groups, investment entities, or closely held operating companies is a plus. Strong technical tax knowledge and analytical skills. Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and Engagement software preferred. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience
performing federal and state tax research. CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification. Why TJT?
