About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join a well-established public accounting firm in downtown Tampa.
This is a senior-level role for a CPA who enjoys technical tax work, client advisory, team leadership, and taking true ownership of client relationships. You will manage tax compliance and advisory work for a diverse portfolio of privately held businesses and pass-through entities, with a strong focus on industries such as construction, manufacturing, retail, and professional services.

Responsibilities
- Manage high-level tax consulting and compliance work for pass-through entities and privately held businesses
- Lead tax advisory projects across industries such as construction, manufacturing, retail, and professional services
- Conduct technical tax research and prepare clear written guidance on complex tax matters
- Review and advise on federal and state tax issues, including planning opportunities and risk areas
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and build trusted long-term relationships
- Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining quality, deadlines, and profitability
- Oversee billing, collections, and engagement economics with a strong sense of ownership
- Train, mentor, and develop professional tax staff
- Participate in internal initiatives related to client service, team development, and firm operations
- Represent the firm professionally within the local business and professional community
Requirements
- Seven or more years of relevant public accounting tax experience
- CPA license is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong technical tax consulting and research experience
- Experience managing pass-through entity tax work
- Ability to supervise, train, and develop professional staff
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of professional integrity and ownership
- Ability to provide mostly on-site support in downtown Tampa, with hybrid flexibility available
What Will Set You Apart
- Master's degree
- Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement, and Document
- Specific tax experience with construction or manufacturing clients or a strong understanding of issues such as pass-through planning, entity structuring and Section 199A
- Experience operating as a true client advisor, not just a technical reviewer
- Interest in contributing to firm culture, staff development, and long-term practice growth
