WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the design and build of cloud-native tax applications and analytics that

directly influence tax optimization across the firm

• Shape the architecture and technical direction of the tax technology stack to

drive long-term scalability, resiliency, and performance improvements

• Develop new software features and enhancements across frontend and backend

systems using test-driven and agile methodologies

• Design and implement scalable data processing solutions for large data

volumes to support tax allocations, reporting, and analytics

• Build user-friendly interfaces and optimize backend and database performance

to ensure fast, reliable tax workflows

• Automate system upgrades, monitoring, and controls while integrating with

internal and external vendors and services

• Collaborate with DevOps and operations teams to resolve incidents, leverage

continuous integration pipelines, and improve deployment automation

• Document technical designs, conduct code reviews, and promote software

engineering best practices across the team

• Partner with tax stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver

cross-departmental initiatives and translate business requirements into robust solutions

WHAT'S REQUIRED

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with primary

experience in Java and exposure to Scala

• Proven expertise in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and

software architecture principles

• Experience building full-stack applications with attention to user interface

design and backend/database optimization

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing systems that handle large

data volumes and scale reliably

• Strong SQL development and debugging skills with relational databases
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and designing and building RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development
• Experience building microservices and deploying on Kubernetes-based platforms

in cloud environments such as AWS

• Excellent verbal communication skills with experience collaborating across

business and technology teams

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a track record of

delivering complex technical projects
