**About the position**

We have an excellent opportunity available for a ***VAT Senior Manager*** to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. This position lies within the ***European Indirect Tax team***. ***We are looking for a seasoned Indirect Tax professional with experience monitoring and implementing Indirect Tax developments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance across multiple VAT registrations across 15 European Countries.*** You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level, reporting to ***Joe Jayson, Associate Director, Indirect Tax Europe*.** Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders.

**In brief, you are responsible for:**

## **Compliance:**

• ## **Ensure VAT compliance requirements and obligations are met – supported by our outsourced VAT compliance partner, KPMG**
• ## **Working alongside European Finance teams to ensure Balance Sheet items are managed**
• ## **Manage tax authority and audit relationships**
• ## **Monitor, review and implement VAT/IDT developments**

**Strategic and technical:**

• ## **Guide and influence associated functions (e.g. P2P,ITC, logistics) for processes linked to VAT compliance**
• ## **IT projects: ERP updates; tax engine implementation and e-invoicing**
• ## **Provide technical expertise for complex transactions, projects and general business queries, working with advisors where required**
• ## **Support on other areas of indirect tax where required: CBAM, Customs, and Plastic Packaging Tax**
• ## **Process improvement and data quality programs**

## **Qualifications**

***Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.***

• ## **7+ years’ Indirect Tax experience**
• ## **Proven knowledge of VAT/Other IDT/Customs and experience partnering with internal and external VAT consultants**
• ## **Accounting knowledge**
• ## **System knowledge (SAP preferred)**
• ## **Good excel skills**
• ## **Ability to work in a dynamic organization, embracing change and working independently**
• ## **Fluent in English, other European languages (particularly Spanish, Italian or German) are a plus!**
