We have an opportunity for a **Tax Analyst** to join us at Honeywell, in **Bucharest**, where you will be responsible for effective reporting and control of the VAT affairs, supporting strategies to optimize overall tax burden while complying with relevant legislation.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

**Key responsibilities**

**Indirect Tax (VAT) Responsibilities**

  • VAT compliance — Prepares VAT return data, ensures accuracy, reconciliation with accounting records, and timely submission and payment.
  • Issue resolution — Manages VAT issue logs and drives corrective actions for assigned entities.
  • Legislation monitoring — Tracks VAT law changes in the region and ensures proper implementation.
  • Audit support — Supports SOX, internal/external audits, and VAT audits with required documentation.
  • Process improvement — Contributes to standardization, continuous improvement, and integration of new business processes or systems (including SAP).
  • Team support — Provides guidance to Tax Specialists/Interns and supports overall Tax CoE operations.

**Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Responsibilities**

  • CIT data coordination — Coordinates information flow from internal stakeholders to external service providers for Corporate Income Tax calculations.
  • Stakeholder alignment — Ensures smooth coordination between the business functions and external advisors for corporate tax matters.
  • Compliance support — Assists with timely filings, payments, and other corporate tax compliance activities.

**Key skills and qualifications**

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related fields
  • Strong English language skills
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or reporting; experience in General Accounting is considered an advantage
  • Professional skills and knowledge:
  • Knowledge of US GAAP / knowledge of IFRS is a plus
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)
  • Different ERPs may be a plus
