About the Role

Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, you will be responsible for delivering core tax compliance and reporting activities, maintaining accurate tax records, and supporting tax planning and advisory initiatives across AACo. You'll work collaboratively with teams across Finance, Legal, Operations and Commercial Finance, while helping ensure AACo meets its domestic and international tax obligations. Key

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver tax compliance and reporting obligations, including income tax, indirect taxes and state tax lodgements. Maintain accurate tax records, workpapers and supporting documentation. Prepare monthly tax accounting journals and month-end reconciliations.

Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of AACo's Tax Risk Management and Governance Framework. Assist with internal and external audits, regulatory reviews and ATO engagements. Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, identifying and escalating risks where required.

Support complex tax matters including tax effect accounting, transfer pricing, R&D claims and international tax reporting. Research and prepare advice on a wide range of tax issues. Provide tax-related support and guidance to internal stakeholders across the business.

Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives and enhanced reporting capabilities within the tax function. Support improvements in tax systems, controls and data quality.

What We're Looking For

Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. CA, CPA or CTA qualified, or currently working towards completion.

Experience

in a professional services, corporate tax or accounting environment. Strong

experience

preparing tax returns, calculations and supporting workpapers.

Experience

preparing journals and working with accounting ledgers. Exposure to financial reporting and compliance processes. Knowledge of GST, FBT and Payroll Tax is advantageous. Strong Excel

skills

and confidence working with financial systems. Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong stakeholder engagement

skills

and a collaborative approach.
