Tax Accountant

Full Time Salary: Up to $65,000 per year

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

You Will

• Respond to sales and use tax inquiries from internal teams and customers via the tax inbox.
• Research and interpret state and local taxability rules to ensure accurate tax application.
• Monitor and stay current on changes in indirect tax laws and regulations, provide taxability determinations for products and customer transactions.
• Configure and maintain customer-specific tax rules based on business requirements.
• Collect, review, and validate customer exemption certificates, maintain and update exemption certificate management systems to ensure compliance and documentation accuracy.
• Assist with gathering and analyzing data for state and local indirect tax audits.
• Perform month-end reconciliation of denied tax credit entries
• Support business units by addressing indirect tax-related questions and issues

You have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience in tax, accounting, or indirect tax compliance preferred
• Knowledge of sales and use tax concepts is a big plus
• Experience with ERP systems; S2K experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical and research abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
