The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing,
reviewing, and submitting tax returns and related reports while ensuring
compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. The role requires strong
attention to detail, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to analyze
financial data, support audits, and provide accurate tax reporting within
deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns, tax payments, and required
supporting documents accurately and on time.
- Review financial records, invoices, and accounting entries to
ensure proper tax treatment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, company
policies, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports and
reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate tax records, documentation, and filing systems
for audit and reference purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing tax schedules
and responding to documentation requests.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and highlight their
impact on company operations.
- Identify tax risks, reporting errors, or compliance gaps and
recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with finance, accounting, and external consultants to
resolve tax-related matters.
- Assist in preparing tax provisions, withholding tax reports,
VAT/sales tax reports, and other statutory filings as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related
field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting, general
accounting, or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of tax regulations, accounting standards, and
financial reporting procedures.
- Experience preparing tax returns, reconciliations, and statutory
reports.
