Responsible for the preparation of complex tax returns and execution of complex projects related to the application of tax laws.

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support a broad range of tax accounting, compliance, and operational activities. This role will primarily focus on tax accounting and federal compliance, while also supporting state tax, international reporting, and audit activities.

The position will play a key role in ensuring accurate, audit-ready reporting, strong coordination with internal stakeholders, and effective collaboration with external advisors.

Located in Columbus, IN.

**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**

  • Review federal tax provision schedules, supporting workpapers, and book-to-tax adjustments
  • Support preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions, including variance analysis and effective tax rate (ETR) drivers
  • Assist with review of federal income tax returns and supporting workpapers, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate data collection and information requests from Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, external advisors, and other stakeholders to support tax accounting and compliance activities.
  • Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and administrative guidance to support tax positions, compliance obligations, and reporting requirements
  • Assist with preparation and documentation of the U.S. R&D tax credit and support evaluation of additional tax credit opportunities
  • Support state tax compliance and provision processes, including estimated payments and apportionment
  • Assist with audit responses, IDRs, and documentation requests
  • Assist with international compliance filings and related documentation
  • Support preparation of items such as tax residency certificates and information reporting
  • Support process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.

  • Ability to interpret and apply tax law and regulatory guidance
  • Detail-oriented with strong focus on audit defensibility and documentation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with external advisors and managing deliverables

Qualifications

**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting required.
  • Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.

**Experience:**

Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.
