About the role
The Tax Analyst, Corporate Income Tax will be a key member of the KnitWell Corporate Tax team, focused on supporting the federal, state, local income tax compliance and planning areas. Individual will be responsible to interact with KnitWell and Brand personnel across multiple levels of the organization to perform job responsibilities. The impact you can have Preparation of corporate federal, state & local income tax compliance, including quarterly estimated calculations, extensions, income and franchise tax returns, and drafting responses to tax notices and audits, etc.
Analysis of state tax adjustments and apportionment including data gathering, process and preparation of workpapers. Support tax accounting function in preparation of ASC 740 tax provision calculations including preparation of tax adjustments, reconciling tax accounts and cash tax payments, and recording tax journal entries. Participate in tax technology process improvements and automation initiatives and support routine maintenance of Alteryx workflows and other software in response to changes in business.
Maintain tax notice log and respond to notices in a timely manner. Support tax planning and special project work, as needed. Assist with various information reporting requirements.
Apply standard professional principals to routine research assignments of limited complexity and scope including monitoring and modeling implications of federal, state and local tax developments impacting the company.

Education: Bachelor's in Accounting required. Experience: 1-3 years (or recent internship in income tax) of public accounting or corporate tax
experience
preferred. Basic analytical, tax technical and research
skills
required. Communication: Strong communication
skills
to deal effectively with multiple tax department offices across the KnitWell shared service group and with the Brands required. Technology: Advanced Excel
skills
preferred. Proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). OneSource Income Tax, Oracle and SAP
experience
preferred, but not required. Alteryx
experience
is a plus. Maintains high quality standards for all work products and continuously drives for efficiency and improved performance. Asks clarifying questions, seeks deep fundamental understanding of tax concepts, and gets invested in the details.
In support capacity, works with a high degree of urgency and responsiveness, taking responsibility for seeing that all deadlines are met, and that colleagues receive prompt responses.

* The target salary range for this role is: $60,000 – 75,000* *Any job offer will consider factors such your qualifications, relevant experience, and skills.
