On behalf of our client, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Assistant Manager to join their tax department. This role offers a strong opportunity for career growth in a dynamic environment with exposure to complex tax matters.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Support the Senior Tax Manager in the provision of advisory and consultation services to clients on direct tax issues.
  • Review tax memorandums for companies and individuals, ensuring technical accuracy and completeness.
  • Supervise and guide junior team members in the preparation of tax computations and other deliverables.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients to resolve issues and obtain necessary clearances, such as tax residency certificates and tax clearance for transactions.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of personal and corporate income tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable deadlines.
  • Conduct and review research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with current and future developments in local and international tax legislation/practice.
  • Prepare and review letters/reports/advance tax rulings or opinions in relation to taxation matters for submission to clients and/or to the Cyprus Tax Department.
  • Assist in the management of transfer pricing projects, including review of documentation, benchmarking studies, and local file reports.
  • Monitor client portfolios and ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
  • University degree (BSc/BA) in law, accounting, finance, economics or other related fields
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) or ADIT or other professional qualification demonstrating strong knowledge in the field of taxation
  • Sound academic record
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in an audit firm, tax practice or related role
  • Proven ability to supervise and review the work of junior team members
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English language
  • Knowledge of Russian or other foreign languages will be considered an advantage
  • IT literate and adaptable to new technologies
  • High integrity and a positive, can-do attitude
