Job Description
Responsibilities
- Participate in client engagements by providing corporate partnership and individual tax services as applicable; devise, plan and execute tax strategies and research potential tax issues.
- Prepare and/or review returns for corporate, partnership, or individuals as applicable, including federal, foreign, state and local tax return, estimated payments and extensions.
- Provide supervision and develop preparers on client work.
- Independently managing smaller or lower complex engagements from India.
- Managing client interactions on smaller or lower complex engagements.
- Act as people manager for Junior Associates.
- Facilitating technology and process related training and supporting Case studies/Success Simulation Program.
- Buddy for lateral hire seniors during their probationary period.
- Establish strong professional relationships with onshore and domestic teams.
- Contributing to standardization and innovation initiatives.
- Champion for Tax Technology tools and software.
- Timely delivery of work, staying up to date on tax law changes & providing exceptional quality.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in commerce or finance or similar required. EA or CPA are beneficial. Candidates should be willing to pursue EA or CPA.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in US Taxation.
Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred.
Proficient in Core competency as applicable such as corporate 1120, partnership 1065, 1040 Individuals etc.
Min 2 years of experience in reviewing and supervising Associates.
Experience in managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Flexible to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Highly motivated and takes initiative for professional growth and development.
