lead strategic tax initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this

key role, you’ll ensure full compliance with Mexico's tax regulations while

collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive tax planning and operational

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a

Tax Manager

  • Extensive

individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge

  • Strong accounting,

analytical, research, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and oral

communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of tax

codes, compliance, and procedures for corporations

  • Familiarity with Mexican

federal, state, and local reporting requirements

  • Strong experience in

Maquiladora with a variety of tax operations and the ability to drive

process improvements

  • Ability to work well

independently as well as communicate the benefits of tax initiatives

  • Prior experience managing VAT

reimbursement and obtaining VAT certification

  • Proficiency in SAP ERP

systems

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English

and Spanish

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business

operations to support VAT certification for the client’s legal entity in

Mexico

  • Facilitate and manage the

preparation and review of company federal tax returns and ensure accurate,

timely filing of all tax forms

  • Review Tax Accounting for

VAT, income tax withholdings, current income tax, and deferred income tax

under both US GAAP and MX GAAP

  • Ensure accurate and timely

filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and

other business-related filings

  • Identify and implement

opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures

  • Develop and execute strategic

tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes

  • Plan for and manage the

overall return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs

  • Maintain effective control

procedures for all aspects of the tax process

  • Manage and facilitate income

tax audits, including preparing responses and creating schedules

  • Monitor legislative and

regulatory tax law developments, communicate their effects to management

and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes in tax

legislation

  • Provide support for various

internal audits and special tax-related projects

  • Review tax returns and

prepare quarterly/yearly tax projections
