**This is a limited 6 month contract**
This role will ensure end-to-end compliance with UAE and international tax regulations, managing filings, audits, and reporting across jurisdictions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including VAT filings and corporate tax requirements.
- Ensure adherence to UAE VAT regulations and international tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare, review, and submit tax returns, tax reports, and supporting documentation within prescribed deadlines.
- Lead and coordinate tax audits conducted by regulatory authorities and external auditors.
- Review cross-border transactions and assess international tax implications, including withholding tax, permanent establishment risks, and double taxation treaty considerations.
- Support transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with OECD guidelines where applicable.
- Conduct tax risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with tax authorities, external consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders on tax-related matters.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on business operations.
- Provide guidance to finance and business teams on tax compliance requirements and best practices.
- Maintain accurate tax records and ensure proper documentation for audit readiness.
- Assist management with tax planning initiatives and strategic tax advisory projects.
**Required Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as **ACCA, CPA, CA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent** is preferred.
- **5–7 years of relevant experience** in tax, audit, or advisory roles with a focus on **international taxation and VAT**.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, Corporate Tax, and international tax frameworks.
- Experience handling tax audits and interacting with tax authorities.
- Sound understanding of transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and tax treaty applications.
- Experience gained within a Big 4 firm, multinational corporation, or tax advisory environment will be highly advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
