Requirements

As the Tax Manager for the firm, you will play a key role in overseeing tax compliance, managing client relationships, and providing strategic tax advice to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally and contribute to the firm's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance for corporate and individual clients, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
  • Develop and execute tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities and optimize their financial outcomes.
  • Lead tax advisory projects, including mergers and acquisitions, business structuring, and cross-border taxation issues.
  • Review tax returns prepared by junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices, advising clients on changes and implications.
  • Assist clients with tax audits and dispute resolutions, liaising with tax authorities when necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and tax advice.
  • Manage a team of junior tax professionals, offering training, development, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with other departments (audit, advisory, etc.) to deliver integrated services to clients.
  • Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and grow the firm's tax practice.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the firm's internal processes and help streamline tax functions to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or CTA qualification is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, with a focus on tax compliance and advisory within an accounting firm.

In-depth knowledge of local tax laws, international tax considerations, and tax reporting requirements.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

A collaborative team player with strong leadership skills.

Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to provide clear, actionable advice.
