Role description

From the employer
  • Manage the Group’s tax matters, including tax compliance, tax audits,

and tax appeals.

  • Oversee

the preparation and review of tax computations, deferred tax, tax estimates,

and all statutory tax filings, including CP204, RPGT, withholding tax, and

service tax.

  • Act

as a key advisor on corporate tax, Sales & Service Tax (SST), transfer

pricing, and other tax-related issues.

  • Assist

in tax planning initiatives by performing tax analysis, identifying potential

risks and opportunities, and recommending appropriate strategies.

  • Review

provisional and revised tax estimates to ensure accuracy and compliance with

applicable regulations.

  • Oversee

the review of corporate tax computations and returns, working closely with

internal finance teams, accountants, and external tax agents.

  • Prepare,

maintain, and update transfer pricing documentation for the Group.

  • Manage

and respond to tax queries, audits, and investigations involving tax

authorities, auditors, and tax agents.

  • Stay

updated on the latest tax developments and conduct research to assess their

impact on the Group.

  • Build

and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including

Accounts and Finance teams, as well as external parties such as auditors, tax

agents, consultants, and government authorities.

  • Carry

out ad-hoc assignments and other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or recognised

professional qualification in Finance, Accountancy, Taxation, or a related

field (e.g. ACCA, CPA, MIA, CTIM).

  • At least 5–7 years of relevant taxation

experience, preferably from a tax or accounting firm; experience in the

property development industry is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in

corporate tax compliance, tax audits, advisory, and tax planning.

  • Familiarity with the IFCA accounting

system would be an added advantage.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong proficiency in English, Bahasa

Malaysia, and Chinese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving

abilities, with strong attention to detail.

  • Proven leadership capabilities,

including effective stakeholder management and the ability to guide and develop

junior team members.

  • Strong ability to establish and maintain

effective working relationships internally and externally.

  • Capable of managing multiple assignments

effectively while working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a

strong sense of commitment and a positive work attitude.
