**Location:** This is an on-site role based in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Michigan-based candidates are preferred, but relocation candidates may be considered for the right fit.

**Note:** Candidates must have an active CPA license, 10+ years of public accounting or business taxation experience, and strong entity and multi-state tax experience.

  • Review and manage complex business tax returns, including S-Corps, partnerships, multi-entity structures, and multi-state filings.
  • Provide proactive tax planning, advisory, and compliance guidance to business clients.
  • Serve as a key client relationship manager and trusted technical resource.
  • Review workpapers and tax returns with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and staff development.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach staff and senior accountants.
  • Help improve workflow, delegation, project timelines, and overall engagement efficiency.
  • Partner with leadership on process improvement, technology adoption, and firm growth initiatives.
  • Support a client-focused, team-oriented culture built on clarity, trust, and high-quality service.

**Qualifications**

  • Active CPA license required.
  • 10+ years of public accounting, business taxation, or closely related tax experience.
  • Strong experience with entity taxation, business returns, and multi-state tax matters.
  • Experience reviewing S-Corp, partnership, and high-net-worth individual returns.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and lead accounting/tax team members.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • UltraTax, Accounting CS, Canopy, or similar tax/workflow software experience preferred.
  • Small to mid-sized CPA firm experience preferred.
