As a Tax Manager, you play a pivotal role in strengthening Telenet’s financial integrity and shaping the future of our tax operations. You combine deep technical expertise with a forward looking and flexible mindset, ensuring compliance while driving innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across our tax landscape.

**Working in our Telenet Treasury, Tax & Investors Relations tribe**

As a Tax Manager, you are Telenet’s central expert for Tax Accounting, Pillar 2, Corporate Income Tax and VAT. You ensure full compliance, deliver high‑quality reporting, and help modernize our tax operations. You combine technical depth with a hands‑on, improvement‑driven mindset, and you work closely with colleagues across Finance, Legal, Treasury, and the wider business. You report directly to the Tax Director.

**Your role as a Tax Manager**

Tax Accounting

  • Lead the quarterly tax accounting close, including preparation, review, and certification of tax provisions, deferred tax positions, and tax packs under IFRS, US GAAP and BEGAAP, ensuring alignment between accounting standards and tax results
  • Manage and continuously improve tax reporting in OneStream, including data imports, tax adjustments, narrative documentation, GAAP tagging, and reconciliation of tax balances across entities and jurisdictions.
  • Ensure high-quality tax accounting reporting to the shareholder, including Pillar 2 calculations, reconciliation to statutory accounts, and clear explanation of variances and key tax drivers.
  • Drive automation and standardization of tax accounting processes, reducing reliance on manual Excel-based workflows and implementing scalable tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and auditability.
  • Maintain robust tax controls and audit-proof documentation, including reconciliation checks, return-to-accrual analyses, and alignment with internal control frameworks and external audit requirements.
  • Coordinate the Belgian Corporate Tax compliance process for 15+ Telenet entities, in collaboration with a colleague, ensuring timely, correct filings.

Corporate Tax

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks with clear recommendations.
  • Experience with Luxembourg corporate tax is a plus.

VAT Compliance

  • Oversee the VAT compliance process in collaboration with a colleague handling day‑to‑day VAT tasks.
  • Support VAT audits and ensure sustainable compliance.
  • VAT knowledge is an advantage, not a requirement.

Governance, Controls & Risk

  • Strengthen tax governance, internal policies, and tax controls.
  • Manage tax audits and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities.

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Drive tax technology, automation, and process improvements.
  • Modernize tax workflows and contribute to the evolution of the tax operating model.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless tax compliance, planning, and reporting.
  • Translate legislative changes into clear operational actions.

**Your profile as a Tax Manager**

  • 10+ years of experience in a complex tax environment (Big 4 and/or multinational is ideal).
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in tax accounting reporting and corporate tax.
  • Experience with Pillar 2 and tax technology or automation initiatives.
  • Structured, analytical, and detail‑oriented working style.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to challenge assumptions.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Dutch‑speaking and fluent in English.
