Symbiotic Services is recruiting a **Tax Senior Manager** for a
well-established and respected accounting and advisory firm in Dallas, Texas.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing complex tax engagements,
managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and supporting firm growth
initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax expertise,
excellent project management skills, and the ability to provide strategic tax
planning and compliance services to a diverse client base.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Tax Compliance & Review**
- Prepare, review, and oversee
complex federal and state tax returns, including
- C-Corporations and
S-Corporations
- Partnerships
- Trusts and Estates
- High-net-worth individuals
- Multi-state entities
- Ensure compliance with IRS and
state/local tax regulations
- Research and resolve complex tax
issues
- Manage tax provision calculations
and ASC 740 matters
**Tax Planning & Advisory**
- Develop and implement strategic
tax planning strategies
- Advise clients on entity
structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning
- Provide guidance on federal and
Texas-specific tax matters
- Identify tax-saving opportunities
and risk mitigation strategies
**Client Relationship Management**
- Serve as a primary point of
contact for key clients
- Build and maintain long-term
client relationships
- Participate in business
development activities, networking, and proposal preparation
- Identify cross-selling
opportunities across service lines
**Leadership & Team Development**
- Supervise, mentor, and train tax
seniors and staff
- Review workpapers and provide
constructive feedback
- Manage engagement budgets,
billing, and realization
- Assist with recruiting and
onboarding new team members
**Work Environment**
- In-office position in Dallas,
Texas
- **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30
p.m.
- Additional hours may be required
during peak tax seasons
**Requirements**
**Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
(Master’s in Taxation preferred)
- Active **CPA license in Texas** or **Enrolled Agent designation**
**Experience**
- 7+ years of progressive public
accounting tax experience
- Experience managing complex
engagements and supervising staff
- Strong knowledge of federal and
multi-state tax laws
- Experience with **CCH Axcess**

**Preferred Experience**
- Industry experience in **real estate, oil & gas, healthcare, or professional services**
