Accountants in Newbury in their search for an experienced Tax Senior Manager to
join their growing tax team.
This is an
excellent opportunity for an accomplished tax professional seeking a varied
role that combines both personal and corporate tax advisory work, alongside
compliance oversight, client relationship management, and team development. The
position offers exposure to a broad client base, ranging from private
individuals and owner-managed businesses through to larger corporate groups.
\*While this
position is advertised as a Mixed Tax role, Personal Tax/Private Client
candidates are also encouraged to apply as the vacancy can be adjusted to suit
this.
**The Role**
As a Mixed Tax
Senior Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax advice
and support across a diverse portfolio of clients. Working closely with
partners and senior stakeholders, you will provide strategic guidance on a
range of complex tax matters while helping to drive the continued growth and
success of the tax function.
This is a
highly visible position within the firm, offering significant client
interaction and the opportunity to influence both client outcomes and internal
tax strategy.
**Responsibilities**
- Managing and reviewing personal and corporate tax
compliance work
- Advising clients on a wide range of tax planning
matters.
- Providing advice on matters relating to EMI, EIS,
employment-related securities, ATED and HMRC enquiries
- Reviewing complex tax affairs for directors,
shareholders and high-net-worth individuals
- Acting as a senior technical resource for
colleagues across the firm
- Building and maintaining strong client
relationships, becoming a trusted adviser
- Supporting, mentoring and developing junior members
of the tax team
- Working alongside partners on advisory projects and
strategic initiatives
- Contributing to business development activities and
identifying opportunities to expand client services
Requirements
- CTA qualified, or ACA, ACCA or ATT qualified with
significant UK tax expertise
- Strong mixed tax background gained within a
professional practice environment
- Proven experience advising owner-managed businesses
and entrepreneurial clients
- Technically strong across both personal and
corporate tax matters
- Confident managing client relationships and
delivering advisory-led work
- Previous experience reviewing work, mentoring team
members and supporting staff development
- Commercially aware with excellent communication and
relationship-building skills
Benefits
- Salary circa £70,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification status
