As a Tax Services - Indirect Tax - Senior Associate, you will provide advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimize their indirect tax positions. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality work while embracing increased ambiguity and using these moments as opportunities to grow.

In this role at PwC, you will work within our Tax practice, focusing on value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, and other indirect taxes. Your work will involve using a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. You will develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing, while upholding and reinforcing professional and technical standards. Responsibilities

  • Providing advice and guidance on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy to help clients navigate complex regulations
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for optimizing indirect tax positions
  • Utilizing critical thinking to break down complex tax concepts and develop actionable solutions
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their business context and align tax strategies with broader objectives
  • Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC tax and audit guidance
  • Leveraging tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve tax-related problems
  • Managing and inspiring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Building meaningful client connections and anticipating their needs to deliver quality service
  • Engaging in continuous learning to deepen technical skills and adapt to changing business environments

What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Oral and written proficiency in English required
  • Follow-up and support in audits and obtaining permits for Industry Promotion Programs such as IMMEX and PROSEC. (Essential experience).
  • General knowledge and handling of Annexes 24 and 30.
  • Compliance Reviews
  • Follow-up and support in audits and procedures for VAT/IEPS Certification (Essential experience).
  • Knowledge of the application of foreign trade rules of the Ministry of Economy and the Tax Administration Service (Essential experience).
