As a **Tax Staff**, you will work with a team to provide quality tax services to clients in various industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, health care, wholesale/distribution, financial institution, governmental and nonprofit companies.
**What You’ll Do**
- **Prepare with Purpose.** Accurately prepare federal and state tax returns for business and individual clients, applying core tax rules and concepts with confidence.
- **Think Beyond the Form.** Develop your tax research and planning skills by identifying opportunities, solving problems, and offering proactive solutions as a trusted client advocate.
- **Communicate Clearly.** Share results and updates with internal teams and clients, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication.
- **Support Client Goals.** Understand each client’s objectives and deliver services that help them achieve their financial goals.
- **Work Smarter.** Use tax software and digital tools efficiently to enhance productivity and time management, while identifying ways to improve processes.
- **Understand the Business.** Learn the economics of tax engagements by working within firm budgets, billing guidelines, and operational expectations.
- **Keep Growing.** Participate in tax training, stay current on industry developments, and actively contribute to client development and marketing initiatives.

**What You Bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
- Compliance with the 150-hour rule and/or CPA certification preferred or in progress
- Internship or 6 months–2 years of public accounting experience, ideally in a tax-focused role
- Strong technical, research, organizational, and analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Familiarity with paperless accounting systems and comfort working in a digital-first environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other essential business applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a client-focused mindset
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
