The Team Manager – International Tax is responsible for managing various aspects of international taxation, including tax compliance, tax planning, global tax strategy. This role operates within a shared services capacity, providing tax compliance support to multiple hotel operations worldwide.
The position requires strong tax and accounting expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to deliver practical and strategic tax solutions across diverse jurisdictions, while also supporting business operations with effective and compliant tax practices. Main Responsibilities International Tax Compliance Transactional Tax (VAT/GST, WHT, Indirect Taxes) Coordinate with all international entities and external advisors for transactional tax compliance, filings (e.
g. VAT/GST, WHT and other indirect taxes) Manage the international aspects of international tax reporting, (i. e.
, inbound and outbound withholding tax reporting). Provide guidance on indirect tax implications for cross-border transactions, supply chains, and service arrangements. Ensure proper application of double tax treaties, exemptions, and reductions related to withholding taxes.
Liaise with tax authorities on transactional tax queries, audits, and assessments. Tax Accounting Support Assist with tax accounting matters, including preparation and booking of tax-related journal entries. Support tax reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and deferred tax calculations.
Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely tax accounting in compliance with IFRS/US GAAP/TAS. Provide tax-related insights during monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns for international operations Provide guidance on foreign tax matters, including tax policy, tax reporting and tax audits International Tax Planning/Restructuring Support a wide range of tax solutions in the areas of tax strategy, structuring and planning for offshore and onshore operations Identify potential opportunities for tax planning offshore and onshore Review and research various tax planning strategies and make appropriate recommendations to minimize tax impact 3.
Job Specifications Qualifications: Bachelor in Accounting Minimum 5-10 years of related experience with a multinational company or a professional accounting firm, with significant experience in indirect tax compliances. Certified Public Accountant/Certified Tax Accountant is preferrable Business operations orientated person with strong analytical skills Ability to be hands-on and detail oriented Self-starter and solutions provider with ability to prioritize workload Able to influence, train and mentor staff to achieve objectives Demonstrate continuous professional development Strong in inter-personal skills: Not the right fit?
