From the employerIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Perform day-to-day operations for pre-order export control screening regarding high-risk orders based on applicable regulations, including U.S. EAR, Taiwan SHTC, Malaysia STA, and other applicable regulations.
- Perform day-to-day operations for on-hold order screening using the auto-screening tool.
- Collect End User Statement (EUS) documents from the sales team when required and manage the documentation efficiently.
- Escalate high-risk orders to the global management team along with corresponding internal analysis.
- Conduct daily reviews of customer backgrounds based on established screening criteria.
- Prepare documents required for applicable export license applications and follow up on the approval process.
- Support annual compliance audits for distributors and partners.
- Support the drafting of internal export compliance operational SOPs based on daily business practices.
- Review RPL inquiries raised by Sales and Services teams.
- Deliver Export Control training to internal customers.
- Track Export Control regulations and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support customer inquiries related to Export Control matters.
Who You Are
- A strong individual contributor with the ability to understand U.S. export control regulations and customs and trade regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- A proactive problem solver who can identify gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Detail-oriented with a strong interest in learning and applying regulatory requirements.
- Able to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative and assume additional responsibilities.
- Capable of managing small projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives from start to finish.
For This Role, You Will Need
- Bachelor's Degree Required. Preferred majors include International Trade, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, International Business, Economics, Law, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other equivalent fields of study.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Ability to understand U.S. export control regulations and customs and trade regulations across other jurisdictions.
- Ability to manage small projects and generate ideas for continuous improvement.
- Ability to detect gaps and propose appropriate solutions.
- Ability to effectively multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail and strong interest in learning regulations.
- Initiative to undertake additional responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Internship experience related to import/export operations.
- Import/export related work experience.
- Exposure to trade compliance, export controls, customs, logistics, or international trade activities.
