- We are seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support international trade
- operations and ensure adherence to import/export regulations and global trade
- requirements. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders to
- resolve trade compliance questions, analyze operational risks, maintain required
- records, and support trade governance processes.
- You will leverage strong analytical, problem-solving, and data reporting skills
- to monitor compliance and drive process improvements. Successful candidates will
- demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and
- experience working within regulated environments.

What You Will Do
- The Trade Compliance Analyst activities include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate import and export transactions to ensure compliance with applicable
trade regulations and company policies.
- Support day-to-day global trade operations and resolve operational compliance
issues.
- Provide guidance to internal business partners regarding international trade
requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain trade-related records and documentation in accordance with
regulatory requirements.
- Analyze trade compliance data, identify trends, and prepare reports for
leadership review.
- Assist in internal audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action
initiatives.
- Support Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, implementation,
updates, and compliance monitoring.
- Investigate compliance concerns and recommend risk mitigation solutions.
- Collaborate with logistics, customs brokers, procurement, legal, finance, and
supply chain partners.
- Monitor changing trade regulations and communicate impacts to business
stakeholders.
- Participate in trade compliance projects, process improvement initiatives,
and operational excellence activities.
- Assist in supporting import/export classifications, licensing requirements,
and related compliance controls.
Top Candidates will have
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), Certified Export Specialist (CES), or
similar trade compliance certification.
- Experience supporting multinational manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or
supply chain organizations.
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, Export Administration Regulations
(EAR), and global trade controls.
- Experience with SAP GTS, Oracle Trade Management, Descartes, or similar trade
compliance platforms.
- Exposure to audit management and compliance testing.
- Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence experience.
- Experience supporting cross-border logistics and customs brokerage
activities.
Top Candidates will also have
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and import/export compliance
requirements.
- Understanding of global trade operations and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience reviewing and maintaining trade documentation.
- Knowledge of customs compliance, tariff classifications, and trade processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience producing reports and compliance metrics.
Additional Information
- Primary location: Peoria, IL.
- This is a fully onsite role Monday to Friday in office.
- To support a Global Business, there may be a requirement to travel up to 5%.
- Relocation will not be offered.
- Sponsorship will not be offered.
Summary Pay Range
- $97,530.00 - $146,290.00
- Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized
- factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual
- performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of
- total compensation at Caterpillar.
