**Responsibilities**
- Ensure compliance with US equity investment taxation, with a focus on Form 1042-S, dividend and capital gains withholding, and cross-border tax credits
- Take full ownership of designing, building, and delivering the FATCA compliance system, coordinating closely with business stakeholders and product/engineering teams. Ensure accurate calculation of downstream brokers’ tax obligations, delivering efficient and reliable data outputs
- Work with external Qualified Intermediary (QI) partners to support renewals and ongoing compliance, ensuring the brokerage maintains QI status under IRS requirements
- Provide tax guidance to corporate and individual investors, ensuring their US investment income is treated in a compliant and tax-efficient manner
- Stay up to date with IRS and PRC tax bureau policies, interpret regulatory changes, and recommend timely responses
- Oversee annual tax filings, documentation, and reconciliations, especially for cross-border investment income
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, brokers, and tax authorities to resolve compliance and operational issues
- Assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned
**Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Tax or Law
- Hands-on experience with US tax for non-resident investors, particularly Form 1042-S, dividend withholding, and capital gains taxation
- Proven experience in FATCA compliance or system implementation is highly preferred
- Familiarity with the China–US Tax Treaty and cross-border tax credit mechanisms
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CTA, or EA (Enrolled Agent) are highly valued
- Background in multinational corporations, investment banks, or brokerages with tax compliance exposure is preferred
- Demonstrated experience assisting investors with 1042-S filings, withholding tax reclaims, or cross-border credit applications is an advantage
- Previous involvement in QI program renewals or IRS compliance processes
- Overseas study or work experience, with familiarity in the US tax filing system and IRS procedures is a plus
- Ability to draft clear compliance opinions
- Detail-oriented, logical thinker, and able to independently handle complex tax issues
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
