Requirements
- Proven International Tax Leadership: Hands-on leader capable of building and governing a global tax strategy from scratch, essential for managing rapid international expansion and a complex multi-jurisdictional footprint.
- Expertise in Transfer Pricing & Indirect Tax: Deep knowledge of OECD transfer pricing principles, VAT/GST, and indirect tax governance to manage risk and ensure audit-defensible compliance across Europe and Asia, especially post-acquisitions.
- Ability to Operate in Low Risk-Tolerance Environment: Strategic tax leadership focused on protecting the company’s ESOP structure and maintaining conservative tax positions, aligned with a zero tolerance for tax risk and strong governance controls.
Responsibilities
- Global tax strategy and governance: Develop and oversee international tax compliance frameworks, ensuring timely, accurate, and audit-defensible filings across multiple jurisdictions while managing tax risk and protecting the ESOP structure.
- Indirect tax leadership: Lead U.S. sales tax compliance and extend indirect tax governance globally, managing VAT/GST exposure, invoicing models, and permanent establishment risks.
- Transfer pricing strategy: Design and implement global transfer pricing policies aligned with OECD principles, coordinate benchmarking and documentation, and partner with Finance and Operations to operationalize intercompany pricing and agreements.
- Support international growth and M&A: Provide tax structuring, risk assessment, and integration guidance for international acquisitions, developing repeatable playbooks to enable rapid, low-risk expansion.
- Stakeholder and advisor management: Manage relationships with external tax advisors, coordinate international audits, and serve as the internal subject-matter expert educating leadership and cross-functional teams on tax risks and developments.
