Tax Technology in Poland involves leveraging digital solutions and automation to manage tax compliance, reporting, and strategy in accordance with Polish tax law. This includes the use of specialized software for statutory reporting, e-invoicing, and data analytics.
Poland has been at the forefront of tax digitalization in the EU, notably with the implementation of Standard Audit File for Tax (SAF-T), known locally as JPK_VAT, and a mandatory e-invoicing system (KSeF). The Ministry of Finance (Ministerstwo Finansów) is the key regulatory body. Companies operating in Poland must adhere to strict electronic reporting requirements for VAT (VAT JPK), and increasingly for CIT and PIT, necessitating robust tax technology solutions.
