Here are the main responsibilities: · Support the preparation, review and analysis of U. S. tax provisions, including current and deferred tax under IFRS, while ensuring accurate balances and appropriate supporting documentation.
Support U. S. -Canada tax matters, including withholding tax, treaty interpretation and other cross-border issues, by analyzing facts and contributing practical recommendations.
Support tax due diligence for transactions, reorganizations and strategic initiatives by identifying key issues, risks and opportunities. Serve as a trusted resource on U. S.
tax matters by providing clear guidance and practical insight to internal partners. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Actuarial, Investments and other stakeholders to assess implications and support coordinated decision-making. ______________________________________________________________________________ What could accelerate your success in this role We’re looking for someone who: Is known for their strong working knowledge in U.
S. income tax accounting, Stands out for their strong technical expertise and analytical capability in U. S.
taxation Demonstrates strong judgement and attention to detail in assessing tax issues and supporting well-reasoned conclusions. Is recognized for their CPA designation, master's degree in U. S.
experience
in U. S.
