Job Description

  • Prepare and review VAT workpapers, ensuring accurate and timely VAT/GST return
  • filings for UK, EMEA, and APAC entities, while supporting UK tax compliance
  • activities.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and internal stakeholders to resolve tax issues,
  • improve processes, and provide cross-functional support and training.
  • Support tax projects, apply technical expertise, plan and prioritize compliance
  • activities, and manage deliverables effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review VAT/GST returns, supporting schedules, and workpapers to

ensure accurate and timely compliance.

  • Review invoices and transactions to determine the correct indirect tax

treatment and support tax return filings.

  • Prepare monthly VAT account reconciliations and review related accounting

journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate the posting of tax accounting entries and

journal entries in Workday.

  • Support Accounts Payable teams by addressing VAT/GST-related invoice queries

and providing technical guidance.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve indirect tax

issues and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

  • Conduct indirect tax research and monitor legislative changes across EMEA and

APAC regions, ensuring timely implementation of regulatory updates.

  • Assist with tax-related projects, process transitions, and ad-hoc activities

as required by the Head of Tax.

  • Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing support to team members to

strengthen technical knowledge and drive team development.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and

automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing

technology-driven solutions in tax processes.

  • Contribute to tax audits, internal reviews, and compliance assessments by

preparing supporting documentation and responding to information requests

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with

strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

  • Experienced in International VAT/GST compliance across UK, EMEA, and APAC

regions. Strong understanding of VAT legislation, indirect tax principles,

and end-to-end VAT compliance processes.

  • Solid accounting background with practical knowledge of financial processes

and tax accounting.

  • Good understanding of the operation and impact of VAT/GST on business

transactions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong

English speaking and written proficiency.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with tax advisors, consultants, and

cross-functional teams in a global environment.

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and process improvement skills with a

focus on compliance and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VBA Macros, MS Access, EMEA Tax Knowledge, additional European language i.e.

Germany / Spanish / Dutch.
