Senior tax associates will assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state(s) business, individual, and other related tax forms. There will be opportunities for tax planning and research projects throughout the year.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review business and individual tax returns.
  • Assist with tax planning and projections requested by clients.
  • Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses.
  • Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities.
  • Answer calls and emails from clients in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • General proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn from previous experiences and apply knowledge to future assignments.
  • Quality communication between other staff and clients
  • Ability to manage and develop new staff members.
  • Attention to detail and organized.
  • Be a team player.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required - accounting
  • CPA – preferred.
  • At least 3 full busy seasons worked in the tax profession – preparing individual and business tax returns.
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters suite preferred
