**Job Description**
As a tax consultant, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Consultant to join our team, specializing in tax services for our clients in Japan. This role involves assisting businesses and individuals with tax compliance, planning, and advisory services while ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients, providing clear guidance on tax-related matters in both Japanese and English.
- Assist clients in managing tax-related inquiries, including income taxes, social security contributions, and payroll considerations.
- Support internal teams and clients’ employees in understanding tax responsibilities related to international assignments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Stay informed on relevant tax policies and industry developments, collaborating with tax specialists when needed.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees on business trips and assignments, providing necessary support and updates.
- Facilitate smooth communication between internal stakeholders and clients to address any tax-related concerns.
- Assist in financial aspects of client engagements, including billing and tracking key metrics.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in any field (Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field preferred).
- Proficiency in both Japanese and English
- Possess either Zeirishi or/and CPA certifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
