**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • Reviews complex returns; multiple states and locals.
  • Ability to do technical research and document to support conclusion.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage the preparation and review process of complex returns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Resolves complicated tax issues.
  • Handles client matters with accounting department and decision makers.
  • Prepares review notes and trains staff.
  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge.
  • Manages budgets and billing center.

**SUPERVISORY SKILLS**

  • Distributes tasks fairly among team members based on their individual competencies and workload.
  • Provides employees with the necessary training and resources to get the job done.
  • Communicates regularly with teams members regarding expectations and performance.
  • Actively participates in monthly tax management meetings.
  • Works well with allocated resources, support staff and management.
  • Inspires and motivates team members to perform optimally.
  • Gives team members ongoing and balanced performance feedback.
  • Coaches team members effectively to improve their job skills.
  • Is patient and shows an appropriate level of caring.
  • Solves people problems with tact and diplomacy, and resolves internal conflict effectively.

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**

Certified Public Accountant, Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field; minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
