Your role

  • Join our EMEA Tax team as a Tax Data, Process, and Technology Specialist to
  • enhance Clarios’ tax operations by leveraging technology, documenting and
  • refining existing processes, and developing innovative data and automation
  • solutions. Reporting directly to the EMEA Tax team and collaborating closely
  • with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Realize business process mapping within the EMEA Tax department and related

interfaces to other departments.

  • Identify and describe process improvements in EMEA Tax and ensure automation

of routine compliance processes.

  • Start and steer projects based on process analysis; act as liaison between IT

teams, SAP business partners, and business stakeholders.

  • Ensure the EMEA Tax team develops a strong footprint in the SAP S/4HANA

implementation project.

  • Develop and maintain the tax technology roadmap for the EMEA Tax department.
  • Manage IT process-related, business-driven tax projects from initiation to

delivery.

  • Improve data consistency in external reporting to tax authorities and other

public organizations.

  • Maintain, monitor, and improve existing tax technology tools in alignment

with the Global Tax team.

  • Develop and/or lead technology-related trainings to upskill EMEA Tax team

members and disseminate knowledge.

  • Ensure sufficient documentation of processes, technologies, and interfaces

for auditability and continuity.

  • Drive adoption of automation tools (Power Automate, SAP tax modules,

PowerQuery for Excel, Alteryx, Power BI) and sanctioned AI-based solutions

for compliance.

  • Standardize reusable components and promote best practices across the tax

function.

How You Will Do It

  • Collaborate closely with SAP business partners, IT teams, and business

stakeholders to translate tax requirements into technical solutions.

  • Conduct process discovery workshops and document workflows in close

collaboration with tax subject matter experts (SMEs) in EMEA (direct and

indirect tax team members).

  • Deliver rapid prototypes as a citizen developer to de-risk initiatives before

formal IT involvement.

  • Train tax team members on new tools and automations; create user guides and

quick reference materials.

  • Promote a digital-first, self-service mindset within the tax function.
  • Embed auditability (logs, access controls, approvals) in all solutions and

ensure compliance with risk and regulatory expectations.

What We Look For

  • University Degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems.
  • Good understanding of accounting, controlling, or business requirements.
  • Familiarity with corporate tax processes (direct/indirect compliance,

financial reporting, controversy)

  • Experience in process mapping, automation, documentation. Exceptional project

management skills. Comfortable with KPIs and continuous improvement methods.

  • Passion for driving continuous improvement. Curiosity for automation/AI

solutions and a practical approach to safe, governed adoption in Tax.

  • Hands-on proficiency in data analytics systems (MS Excel, Power Query Excel,

Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) with implementation experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably S/4 HANA) and consolidation

systems (e.g., OneStream).

  • Excellent communication in English and stakeholder management skills

The starting salary is at min 2 500 EUR/month gross for candidates who meet our

minimum criteria.

This amount is our minimal offered salary. Clarios values each and every
